To the family and the community, Arnie was an incredible neighbour and parishioner. He threw himself into the renovations at the rectory and maintenance at the church. I could call on him anytime to fix anything. He was a meticulous car detailer who undercharged and kept my car's interior, exterior, the tread on the wheels and the engine under the hood sparkling clean. I was honoured to know Arnie and will never forget how patient and kind he was to me. Keeping you all in my prayers. Rev. Marian

Wanda, Terry and Stephen….. Kevin and I send our sincere condolences and love to you at this very sad and difficult time. Having lost both our moms only a few short months ago, we know your pain and sadness. Uncle Arnie was a real sweetheart. I always remember him from our visits to gram Maynard’s and our time in Fairfield growing up. He was ALWAYS smiling and laughing . He was a real gem mom always had a loving soft spot for him…. And him for her. They were always calling each other. He even called a week after mom’s passing wanting to talk with Francie❤️. It broke my heart to hear the sadness in his voice when he learned of her passing a week earlier. We all loved Uncle Arnie. So please know we are thinking of you all and praying that Uncle Arnie is Heaven surrounded by Aunt Rita and his l family in the peace of God’s loving home.

He was such a lovely, gentle man. Truly remarkable!
I remember how he used to bake bread for us getting up in the mornings, how he always had candies in his pockets for the kids. I was remembering how whenever I visited he would cry and say, “Gee, it’s so good to see you, but every day gets sadder as it gets closer to you having to leave again !” How he used to chew dulce while he valeted cars and how he taught me to play crib. His devotion to Rita, his one and only sweetheart was beyond anything I’ve ever witnessed. I was lucky enough to be his “adopted” English daughter. It was a privilege and blessing to know him. Rest in peace Arnie. Our deepest condolences to Wanda, Terry, Stephen and all the family.

Uncle Arnie was always so glad to see me whenever I visited! As we talked, he would hold my hand and never stop smiling. I treasure the memories I have of our visits at the Village.
