When I did my placements on Dogwood Arnie would give me the biggest smile and the biggest hugs. Arnie thank you for always making my days a whole lot brighter with your smile and hugs.
I will always remember our parking lot chats. He told me all about driving truck, the Mackay highway, and his family. He was always ready to talk with a huge smile and big wave. A giant loss. Thinking of you all.

My sincere condolences. I enjoyed many chats with Arnie at the Village when visiting my sister. He was very friendly. My late husband Leonard(Ginger) and Arnie were cousins.
I am so very sorry to hear of Arnie’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years and he always had a smile on his face, was such a gentleman and had a great laugh. The quilt Rita made when my son Adam was born was always known and loved as The Arnie blanket. RIP to a lovely lovely man.

To the family and the community, Arnie was an incredible neighbour and parishioner. He threw himself into the renovations at the rectory and maintenance at the church. I could call on him anytime to fix anything. He was a meticulous car detailer who undercharged and kept my car's interior, exterior, the tread on the wheels and the engine under the hood sparkling clean. Having lost both our moms only a few short months ago, we know your pain and sadness. Uncle Arnie was a real sweetheart. I always remember him from our visits to gram Maynard’s and our time in Fairfield growing up. He was ALWAYS smiling and laughing . He was a real gem mom always had a loving soft spot for him…. And him for her. They were always calling each other. He even called a week after mom’s passing wanting to talk with Francie❤️. It broke my heart to hear the sadness in his voice when he learned of her passing a week earlier. We all loved Uncle Arnie. So please know we are thinking of you all and praying that Uncle Arnie is Heaven surrounded by Aunt Rita and his l family in the peace of God’s loving home.

I remember how he used to bake bread for us getting up in the mornings, how he always had candies in his pockets for the kids. I was remembering how whenever I visited he would cry and say, “Gee, it’s so good to see you, but every day gets sadder as it gets closer to you having to leave again !” How he used to chew dulce while he valeted cars and how he taught me to play crib. His devotion to Rita, his one and only sweetheart was beyond anything I’ve ever witnessed. I was lucky enough to be his “adopted” English daughter. It was a privilege and blessing to know him. Rest in peace Arnie. Our deepest condolences to Wanda, Terry, Stephen and all the family.

We are so sorry for the loss of your Dad and our sweet Uncle Arnie. I have so many wonderful memories visiting with your Dad at Gram's house, and of course at all family gatherings. My Mom had a very special place for him in her heart... and I know he did for Mom too. We all did. He was always smiling and chuckling. He was a gentleman and well respected. We will miss him dearly and love him always. My heart hurts for you all as you go through this huge loss of your Dad. I hope you can gain some comfort knowing he is together again with your Mom. There's nothing I can say to ease your sadness and heartache, but please know that we are thinking of you all and have you in our hearts and prayers.

We both remember so well our get togethers for dinners when we lived on Union Street. Arnie, you were and are a very special friend and Uncle to Frances and I. Your family can rest assured that you are happy and I say to your wonderful family that they will one day be happily reunited with you once again. Uncle Arnie , Where to begin; He was a treasure to all of us, he loved each and everyone of us and didn,t just say it, we all knew he mean,t it from the hugs and "I love you" to the special birthdays when he would call and sing Happy birthday. I could tell so many loving things he did for all of us ;We were all treated like his kids rather than nieces and nephews and we were blessed to have him as our dear Uncle. He will live forever in the hearts of those of us who love him, never to be forgotten. Our love to Wanda, Terry and Steve and their families and know we share in their sorrow at this tremendous loss. Uncle Arnie was always so glad to see me whenever I visited! As we talked, he would hold my hand and never stop smiling. I treasure the memories I have of our visits at the Village. He loved to visit Mom over in the Villa and made her day when he would show up. It's so sad losing my last uncle, but what great memories he left behind!
