So sorry to hear about the loss of your dear dad. I remember him so well since I was a very young girl and we used to cottage on Darlings Island and your dad convinced mine we should move to Gods Country instead of living in the city. So in part he had a lot to do with our moving to Darlings Island a place like no other. He was always so cheerful and kind. Every time I was coming home with dad or heading to the city and your dad was outside my father stopped for a chat and they had a robust laugh the two of them on most occasions. I remember most how his eyes twinkled when he smiled or laughed. He was such a lovely kind man. Sending my deepest condolences to you all my thoughts and prayers too. Esther Papp Simon (Deans)

So sorry for your loss. Your Dad was one of the first people to welcome us when we moved to Darlings Island 48 years ago. He constantly checked in on us as we were alone on a new road and regaled us with tales of the area. Always with a twinkle in his eye. Once when my husband Clare was away he brought me down a big stick to keep by my bed in case a bear broke in! I don’t think there was ever a bear on Darlings Island. Such a good man who loved to tease and laugh.

Bev was a Great neighbour, Enjoyed dropping in for tea and on a rare occasion you may find a beer in the fridge left by a fellow neighbour as seen in this photo of us! It was honour to call him a Friend
