I’m very sorry to hear of this loss. My deepest condolences to Cameron’s family.
I knew Cameron when he was at Hampton High School- he was a sweet boy. Although he experienced pain and discomfort too frequently, he made little complaint. He did love music, especially Shakira, and his smiles and laughter conveyed complete joy and brought sunshine to those near him. Any staff worked with Cameron loved their time with him, and students who were lucky enough to be in classes with him benefitted and learned from his presence.

Jennifer, Peyton and Kennedy and family. Cameron was a classmate of my daughter’s so I had many opportunities to meet Cameron. Those eyebrows and lashes!!!! they were the first thing I noticed when I first met him, but the most lasting memories are his gentle and contented energy and the devotion and pride of his mom, Jennifer. It was not hard to tell where he got that calming presence. I am so sorry for your unimaginable loss, and I do believe that Cameron knew only love in this life. May your treasured memories be a comfort to you all.

I was in the same grade as Cameron all the way through school in Hampton.
My favourite memory is when he came to my birthday party at the bowling alley in elementary school. We were all so excited to have him there - he glowed with good vibes and chill energy. Cameron didn't need to speak to show his good heart and pure soul.
When I reminisce with my now-adult friends about school, Cameron often comes up in our discussions. Hampton is small enough that we all had classes with Cameron, so he is remembered lovingly by hundreds of us. Cameron's powerful energy made it impossible for him to fade into the background, even after graduation and after years of not seeing him - we all still have memories of him that come up in discussion regularly.
I know I speak for all Cameron's classmates when I share how devastated we are. Please know how we treasured him, learned from him, and miss seeing him every day in class.

Jillian, my husband just read me your message and we both cried through it. I am SO glad you took the opportunity to write this. That’s the greatest fear we have as parents- about our kids not being included or apppreciated. I know due to his challenges that it was hard for him to be included in everything. But what you’ve said here- there are no words that can explain how much it means to me. Thank you so, so much. ❤️

I’ll always have precious memories of Cameron from the bus rides to and from school and working with him within the school. He often arrived with a grin on his face. Cameron was a very special young man! He laughed lots and was the best keeper of secrets. He has been blessed to have such a loving, caring, fun-filled family to enjoy while here on this earth. Thankfully now, I believe he is enjoying his new, perfectly painfree body to the fullest and telling some great stories that he was unable to share while here.

I first met Cam when he was about 12 years old and it has been a pleasure watching him grow up to be a young man, surrounded by a deeply connected family. He seemed content in his inner world and happy to just be around the people that he cared about. I am very thankful to have had an opportunity to visit with him in the month before his passing.
