I remember when Dale and Jean were just dating, such a great couple;we all knew Dale had great taste. We'd come back to Lacombe for visits and they'd come to Dad and Mom's for a visit and a game of Rook or we'd go to Bill and Marlene's; such great family time.
Then when they decided to get married we were honored that our son got to be the Bible boy, and Jean was such a beautiful bride, we all loved Jean.
I'm cherishing a final memory of that last visit and Rook game a few weeks before her death, and looking forward to more shared visits, games and laughter in our future heavenly home, come soon Lord Jesus.
So sorry for your immense loss, we too are feeling this loss; the whole family is in my heart and prayers.

I didn't know Jean; only met her in Pugwash early June this year. Even so, she left an impression.. My husband and I were very saddened by the news of her death. I immediately went to the thought, "I wish I had spent more time talking to her." Goes to show that we need to treasure everyone we meet.

I remember Jean when I first met her in early 1983. She was 12 years old at that time. She was a sweet girl who was adept at using sign language. I will always miss her.

It's difficult to articulate the shock of Jean's sudden departure without any forewarning. I wish I had known to be there more often. As her sister living at a distance, I cherish numerous fond memories. She genuinely cared about my appearance and the way I dressed, offering advice on matching colors and styles—something no one else did. She was my sister. She had a knack for summarizing what the group or TV said in concise sentences in America sign language. Her vibrant personality is something I will sorely miss. Jean was beautiful inside and out, with a generous heart. In recent months, she demonstrated her strength and her heartfelt belief in God's genuine love, which was profoundly moving. She held our parents in high esteem, crediting them for her growth and gratitude for their love. She hoped that we, as siblings, wouldn't have to live so far apart and wished for us to be closer. Yet, we believe that one day, we won't be distant but instead as close as a minute's flight in Heaven when we reunite after the Second Coming. We eagerly anticipate that day! We remain strong and remember her words, 'Don't neglect to talk to God'.
We love her!! Send our love and comfort to her love of life, Dale, and her adorable children, Jesse & wife Megan, daughter Shayleesa and grandchildren.
Sister, Judy

Marion and I met the Blakes at the Hope Camp Meeting site and also at Pugwash Camp Meeting site with the four children, Joan, Judy, Jean and David. Jean was there with the other three. It was a delight to visit with all 6, Jean being one of them. She was a delight to meet as were the others. We moved from NL to AB in 2002. Jean and her family, husband and children made their home in NB and so our family did not make many contacts. We knew she and her husband had a small family. This couple looked out nicely to their children as we'd hear bits of news from time to time. It is with great sorrow to learn of Jean's sudden passing. I wish to share my most sincere sympathies with her husband and her children and grandchildren. I wish to include her Father, John Blake (Ngaere), her siblings and families. May the Lord bring you the strength you need as you go through this heart breaking experience. He is also the Hope of the Resurrection for those who love and serve Him. Live with a Hope.

So very sorry to Jeans family for their great loss. Jean was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever had the pleasure to know. She had such a big heart. She gave my mother the greatest care at Yvonne’s Special Care Home as she did with all of the residents. Even when she was hurting herself she still was always there for everyone else with her thoughtfulness and kindness. She will be greatly missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I have known Jean since she was a sweet baby girl. Pastor Dave and I had the privilege of working with her parents at the New Glasgow Seventh-day Adventist and parked our trailer in beautiful yard. Her mom, the late Alberta Blake, and I called her our sweet Susie May. I became reacquainted with Jean at our church camp in Pugwash years later and as we hugged I would say, “My sweet Susie May,” to which she would reply, “I love when you call me that!” I always remember her sweet smile and warm brown eyes which often brings tears to my eyes. Jean, because of our mutual love for Jesus and His great sacrifice to give us life eternal, I look forward to being with you FOREVER!

I didn't know Jean for very long like some have. I would say for several months ,met her through a kijiji ad, I was interested in one of her puppies. Australian shepherd only to find it was an assiedoodle so I didn't get the dog but we stayed in contact. I found out that she did go to the same church which I attended for awhile( also dale was related).
One day, I was sitting behind a woman and she turned around and she recognized me and introduced herself to me. It was Jean! . A very loving beautiful soul she was, extremely warm. She lit up the room. ♡ We seen each other a couple times at the church after that and we always talked on Messenger and we shared much. She was my friend and I didnt feel so alone. We shared the same struggles and she was so positive, a good example of how gracious a Christian should be in the midst of mental health. I will miss her ♡ Until we meet again

Jean was one on the kindest souls I have ever known . We shared many long talks and so many laughs working at Yvonnes together. I would have her in stitches and her laugh was so contagious and sweet ... that's what I'll keep as my dearest memory... her and I laughing hysterically. She was a very special person ❤️

So sorry I never got to meet her in person, would have loved to.

Sending prayers, love & strength to family during this most challenging time. Jeany was a wonderful friend & work colleague while living in Lacombe during our younger years. Biking/camping out west and a trip to California.
Always picking up right where we left off with those memories when we chatted here in NB while raising our families, which she absolutely adored.
Rest easy & find peace as you now fly high Jeany.
