Senator Joe and Georgie Day posted a condolence
Monday, February 26, 2024
Dear Cathy and Family,
I will always remember Lew as a gentle, prince of a man.
This community is a better place because of his foresight and his generosity.
He supported so many good causes along the way, in a multitude of ways that have made a real difference in our town. He was always willing to help.
His foresight to build Pharmasave where he did, preserved the character of our front street and is so appreciated. Both you and he worked very hard to make it an inviting place with the seasonal decorations in the lobby. That really went the second mile.
I, along with others, will never know all of the causes and organizations he assisted. But individually, we are all grateful. We’re glad he and you chose Hampton to settle in.
Please accept Joe’s and my sincere condolences on his passing.

I was saddened to hear of Lew's passing. Bob and I loved our recent chat with him and Cathy. Growing up in Hampton and then having the privilege to be able to work for 35 years in one location with the RCMP in Hampton, I learned what a compassionate, kind & giving man Mr. Moulton was. I have always thought of him as the "silent" giver. He supported the Help The Cops Help The Kids Benefit hockey game in its 30 years and any other benefit or fundraiser the RCMP was involved in. I cannot speak for others but I know in my heart he supported them as well. It was evident to me from a young age how he loved his community, always greeting you with a friendly smile. My sincere condolences to his family & friends. He was truly one of the best.

My condolences to Cathy, Valerie, Scott, Chris, Trevor and families. At a time like this you want to say something that will help comfort you in this time of extreme loss. Words seem to fail me but I will try.
First of all Cathy I am broken hearted for you. You two exemplified a loving relationship that was an example that few attain. You were definitely each other's soul mates. Whenever Lew mentioned you his eyes were filled with love and pride. You both supported our family through the times we had the loss of loved ones and I am not special. I am sure you did that for all staff members. Have to say it meant the world to me.
To the rest of the family I know you knew how great a father and grandfather you had. He loved you all so much and was so proud of each of you.
I worked for Lew for 29 years and know from experience he was loved and respected by all. I have read the tributes and everyone mentions his kindness. There is no better attribute in my opinion.
Tears are flowing. I hope he knew how much he was loved. Praying you can feel God's arms around you all at this time.
Love and prayers, Donna Nutter.

I remember one time, years ago, when Lew was having some renovations done to his house. On the second floor, I think. A water leak had occurred in the renovation area and I ended up going to his house, through my employer, to take some moisture content readings and to assess the level of water damage that had occurred. Lew was so so kind and generous to me during my visit. He was so friendly and talkative to me that it was almost hard to do my work! Haha. He offered me coffee, breakfast, and even tried to offer me some extra cash under the table :-). He was so pleased to have me there helping. If all of my customers were like Lew, I'd have a dream job.
Lew was a good man with a kind soul. I hope you feel his presence every day for the rest of time.

I am so sad to hear of Lew passing.
He was a wonderful, wonderful gentleman who was always kind, helpful to all. He was one of the founding members of the Town of Hampton Health Care committee. Approx 22 + years of service on that committee. He helped many people in his life… never, ever wanting people to know of his kindness or wanting recognition. Extremely giving, kind hearted man and an absolutely wonderful resident of Hampton. I have known Lew and family for many, many years and I myself have been helped by Lew, through my many issues with Lyme Disease.
I always thought so much of Lew and respected him dearly.
Lew will be missed by many.
My condolences to Cathy, Valerie, Scott, Chris, Trevor and their famlies.
