Obituary of David McCumber

It is with great sadness that the family of David Allan McCumber announces his passing which occurred on Monday, December 25, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on February 1, 1948, he was the son of the late Robert & Pauline (Donovan) McCumber.

David’s favourite things included golfing, bowling, travelling, and playing crib, but it didn’t matter what he was doing or where he was going, as long as it was with Margie!

David is survived by the love of his life, Margaret (Donaldson) McCumber of Smithtown, NB; children: Todd McCumber, Alanna McCumber-Bell, Mark Walsh (Janet) of Smithtown, NB, John Walsh (Susan) of French Village, NB, Sharon Curwin (Paul) of Rothesay, NB, Michael Walsh (Alice) of Evandale, NB and Brian Walsh (Cindy) of Rimbey, AB; sister Joan Crozier (Jim) of Rothesay NB; sister-in-law Bonnie McCumber of North Carolina; David was Grampy to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren, and had several nieces, and nephews. David was predeceased by his mother Pauline, and twin brother Harold.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 11:00 am at Reid’s Chapel.
