What a wonderful lady! Elenor was one of those friendly faces to greet me when I first arrived in NB. My first NB teaching assignment was at Fairvale Elementary School and Elenor as the Secretary made my transition to a new Province and work environment as smooth as anyone could have expected. She truly went beyond the call of duty to make me feel at home. Elenor always greeted others with a smile, and we shared many laughs together in those early years. John to you and your family - our sincere condolences. This lady will be truly missed not only by family, but many others who were so fortunate to meet her. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

Mom and I were shocked to see Eleanor’s passing in the newspaper. We used to be next door neighbours or John & Eleanor’s when we first moved to Quispamsis in Sept 1991. They were fantastic neighbours. Our security light on our garage used to go on and off and mom would worry that the light would be bothering them. Eleanor said she often would look down at our house and said to mom that she liked the light being on. She would often not be able to sleep at night and seeing the light was comfort. And my parents and I would enjoy a visit from John & Eleanor from time to time. It is just my mom and I and Jake the cat in the house now. My dad died in Dec 30,2013. It sure gets lonely.
We will surely miss you, Eleanor…you are up with my dad now!

A finer lady never walked this earth. Eleanor, so unassuming never realized how much she meant to the people in her life. I was blessed to have several aunts who were special to me but none anymore so than Eleanor. I often as possible just dropped by on a whim to say hi to her and John, (Jack to me), and it never felt like I was imposing. We'd just and chat for a bit and I'd feel warmer when I left. Rest well Eleanor, your job on earth is done. Saddest condolences to all the family.
