Obituary of Randy Pedersen
With shattered hearts, the family of Randall “Randy” Edwin Pedersen wish to announce his passing on Tuesday March 21st, 2023. Born at Grace Hospital, Vancouver, BC, on April 10, 1962, he was the son of Loretta (Bayliss) and the late Edwin Petersen.
Randy was a kind, thoughtful, and effervescent soul. Those that knew him appreciated his gift of the gab as he told stories and embellished the world around him to exaggerated heights.
Randy loved business. His passion for photography had him photographing and developing countless lives through a Ricoh lens during the 1980-90’s.
He loved his morning coffee and that elixir resulted in the co-creation of JavaMoose Coffee feeding everyone’s need for fellowship and caffeine.
His love of travel & cooking left waistlines and belts bulging with recipes collected from the far corners of every continent.
His love for animals saw him parenting a rambunctious group of canines and felines: Tammy, Snow, White, Crushie, Lava, Henrietta, Moo, Mr. Opty, Scrubbies & Waddles.
Most of all he loved his family. All that big, diverse, accepting, wonderful group of people that loved him back.
Randy is survived by his husband Glen McLean of Saint John, NB; mother Loretta Petersen of Sooke, BC; sisters: Brenda Unrau of BC and Julie Kiengersky (John) of Revelstoke, BC; brother David Pedersen (Kim) of Victoria, BC; beloved niece Sarah Morris (Jordan) of Dartmouth, NS; nephew Kaj Stirler (Michelle) of Duncan, BC; as well as many other extended family and friends around the globe. In addition to his father, Randy was predeceased by his brother Rod Pedersen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB.
Visitation will be held Wednesday April 5th, 2023, at 1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm at Reid’s Funeral Home.
