I was saddened to hear about George's passing. He was an "original" and will be sorely missed. He was always available for a good lively debate and a laugh. He will be sorely missed.

He blessed me with his from-the-hip honesty ("I have no use for you padres") and his passion for the wild outdoors. I have a lot of memories from the many years spent with the Gowlett family as a kid. But one that comes to mind is that the day I got my learners permit, George said "let's go!". Up the ridge we went for my very first time behind the wheel. Brave or crazy? I think we all know the answer to that. ☺️
I may have only known George for a short period of time but it feels like a life time. Family is family and he will be forever missed by all who got the chance to meet him. RIP cousin and condolences to the family and friends. He will be missed but not forgotten
