Members of the Saint John General Hospital School for Nurses Alumnae wish to express our sympathy to you, the family of our friend and fellow graduate, Dorothy (Proctor) Horncastle. Dorothy lived a very full life and will certainly be missed by all of you plus her friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her....especially her nursing class of 1953. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
As is our practice, we are making a donation to our SJGH School for Nurses Alumnae Scholarship Fund in memory of Dorothy.
Our scholarships are awarded annually to deserving UNB Saint John nursing students who excel in Geriatric Nursing.
Sincerely,

To Dorothy's children & all her family & Friends:
Dot has now left us but she certainly left her mark on so many of us. She lead a good life & accomplished so much in her lifetime. She also visited so many wonderful places to see, Organizations she was a member of & travelled with her Bob far and wide.
Her time on this earth is over but I am sure she is looking down on us as she sings in the heavenly choir.
My condolence to all.
Gerry (Proctor) Kyte

Heartfelt condolences to Dot's family. I will miss her joyful songs. It always made my heart happy to hear her sing "You Are My Sunshine" while getting her hair done. She will be missed by all at Kiwanis.

So many great memories with Dot & Bob Sr from over the years. Dot was a character with lots of sayings. My favorite that I say all the time - "as Dot would say, I am sufficiently sufficed!" which Dot would say after a good meal! When Dot & my mom lived at Clearview Seniors Home in Hampton, I would take the ladies on road trips to Shediac, etc. Also out for suppers. The 2 of them were a hoot wondering what they ordered & usually asking more than once before the meal was served. Dot also making sure she had her purse which eventually we left it behind only to ask about her money! lol! Mom & Dot would sit on the glider swing together at Clearview. So many memories of the get togethers with the ladies. My thoughts go out to Dot's families. My deepest condolences.
