To Alice's family - As I read the wonderful tributes to your Mom, I realize how special she was to so many, including me. As a young girl, I would babysit you all while your Mom and Dad would take a well-deserved evening out, usually to play cards at one place or another. It was the easiest job I ever had! Allison, you taught me to play crib when you were only 8! And Nancy, what a surprise to find you as one of my nurse's after heart surgery! You were all the sweetest kids because you were raised with love and happiness. Keep your Mom in your hearts as she always kept all of you in hers.

I was so sorry to hear of aunt Alice's passing. She was such a wonderful person and I have so many fond memories of spending time with her and uncle Lloyd. I will always remember playing cards with them, swimming at their beach and going sailing. But my favourite memories were from our trips to Florida. We had so much fun! She will definitely be missed. I am so sorry to hear of Alice's passing. She was truly the next door neighbor most people only dream of.
She was a great cook, full of fun, and infinitely kind. She had lots of patience with the kids next door who always begged to be allowed to visit Alice, making cookies with them and even teaching my daughter to knit.. She had a huge heart and was loved by many. She will be missed.
