Kate, Diana. Brenda, Dale and the entire Dempster family: Sincere sympathy to each of you. Frances was a very special lady who will be missed by many. I am very glad I had many opportunities to spend time with her over the past 15 years. She loved the fact that she and Mom shared mutual great grandchildren. After she came to Turnbull to live she was quick to tell everyone the connection between our families and let them know she knew us from “dinners at the camp” long before moving there. Cherish your memories….hopefully they will help to ease your pain.

My sincere condolences for the loss of your dear Mother, Mrs Dempster. She was a true sweetheart inside and out and I very much enjoyed spending time with her when I worked at Turnbull Home. She was always a ray of sunlight at a time in her life when it’s not always easy to be so.
You will miss her terribly, and I knew that she must have been an awesome Mom as you were so devoted to her.
Blessings to you all, Evelyn Taber Toner LPN(retired)

Our sincere sympathy to the Dempster family. We visited Frances numerous times at the Turnbull Home (before Covid). We did a weekly Service there (Community Chaplain Service Canada) and she was always happy to come and always happy to see us. She loved the old hymns, and always had a smile on her face. Her room certainly showed that she loved her family and she was proud to have so many pictures of them on her wall. Praying for God's comfort and strength at this sad time.

Dear family of Frances Dempster, I'm the pastor of Bloomfield Baptist Church (formerly Central Norton). Since Frances was on our membership list, I visited her several times in the Turnbull Home after beginning at the church a few years ago . I can attest to the kindness the obituary speaks of. She had no idea who I was but always received me warmly and honoured me with stories of her life. She would go over the pictures of family members that were hanging in her room. She was very proud of you all. A beautiful person (who kept a beautiful room). I heard that one of my visits caused her some confusion and decided that since our connection was so minimal and the visits infrequent it might be best for me to stay away (and of course COVID decided that too). I will tell the church of Frances' passing and you all will be in our prayers. May the Lord Jesus Christ help you to truly grieve your great loss and give you comfort and hope. Love to you all, Rev. Paul Carline and Bloomfield Baptist Church

Allen, Brenda, Carl, Dale,Kate and Diana and the rest of the Dempster clan. Nanny Fran was one of the kindest souls I ever knew when I was growing up on the loop. She was a woman of great determination and patience (with us teen boys lol). An amazing cook and caring mother who wasn't afraid to speak her mind. Although her voice was always a whisper it spoke volumes when it needed too. My deepest condolences to you all may she rest in peace.

I have never known Frances as any other name, but Nanny Dempster. She was a beloved part of my life growing up, and I loved seeing her occasionally as an adult. Nanny Dempster was always stylish, and oh so funny. I enjoyed hearing about all of the funny things she would say to Kate over the years. I know how loved she was, and can only imagine how much she will be missed! Thinking of you, Kate, Diana, Janet, Scott, Cooper, Ella, and all of the Dempster family. My most sincere condolences on the loss of Nanny Dempster. ~ Erin Duncan (Rupert)
