I am so sorry to learn of Cherie’s passing and to have not be in touch sooner. Cherie was a very special lady and a dear member of our Beta Signa Phi sorority, Preceptor Delta chapter, in Hampton. She was a lovely hostess and enjoyed a good joke with her sweet, loving smile during all our activities. She will be missed.

My condolences Michelle, Terry and your families. Your mom was always a ray of sunshine. It didn't matter if you saw her in the neighborhood or at Hampton Middle school as our secretary. Mrs. Watson was always so kind and always wore a smile and had a kind word for everyone. My thoughts are with you all. Gillian Galloway Hull

My condolences Michelle and Terry and families - so many memories of shared tears and laughter over the years with your mom - she was a very special lady - I don't know of a single soul who did not speak highly of Cherie - her charm, her kindnesses, her patience with one and all. Our friendship began in the workplace and continued long after - I cherish my memories of Cherie (and of your dad Jack as well). She will be greatly missed by everyone and know that she touched the hearts of all. My warmest regards

Terry and Michelle, I was so sorry to hear about your loss of your mom. We were friends and neighbours for many years and shared a love of reading and knitting, we often swopped bags of books and knitting patterns. She would have loved all the Catherine Cookson movies too I’m sure. Thinking of you both and your families - Maureen Copeland

Cherie and her family were great neighbours to our family shortly after they immigrated to Canada. Cherie was a true caring, gentle beautiful woman .. I remember she would drop by to socialize with my mother, and always was so pleasant to our family. God Bless you Cherie, I will always remember you from my childhood, and also for your husband Jack, who became my hero during a family emergency way back when. My condolences to Cherie and Jack's children, Michelle and Terry, will never forget these newcomers that I met in my youth. Christopher Eatman

Sherry was the first person you would meet when entering Hampton Junior High. I met Sherry when I started working there as a TA. She was so welcoming with her beautiful smile and and soft voice. She would go out of her way to help you with any and all situations whether school related or personal. We had many conversations over the time I was at the school. Sherry, you have earned your wings. You will be missed. RIP
To Sherry's family please accept my condolences. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Gail Cutler
