Obituary of Joan Marie Hodgin

It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Marie Hodgin of Passekeag, NB, announces her death which occurred on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, on July 29, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Josephine “Dodie” (McLaughlin) Hodgin.

Joan is survived by her son, Jason Hodgin of Passekeag; her grandchildren: Riley and Blake; her brother, Michael Hodgin and his wife Dee; her niece and nephew: Kelty and Matthew; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joan spent many years as a dedicated, and compassionate care worker. Her friends and family will have fond memories when they see the color orange. Joan will be forever missed by her only son, Jason who will remember and be thankful for a loving and hardworking mom. She had a special friendship with Kim, and will be deeply missed by her, her children & grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, with visitation being held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 11:00am to 2:00PM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private celebration of Joan’s life will be held.
