Dear family, just heard of Helen's passing. In our community Helen certainly was an example of a strong and faithful woman who shared her love of God with everyone she knew. I still have cable tapes when I interviewed her and Bert being interviewed on success of Hampton Herald we became good friends and no matter what I needed I was always able to find it there with her help.
I loved her Dearly and last time I saw her was at DAKA before Covid. Heaven welcomed home another angel.
Love Val and Barry MacDonald and family.

Helen had a huge influence on me as a young camper at Atlantic Bible Camp. I accepted Jesus as my Saviour under her council and care & am blessed to have known her. I’m sure there will be many in heaven because of her influence and Christ like example.

Helen and Bert and the family became very big people in our world and lives when we arrived in Hampton from England in 1975 and became new Christians. Jesus lived in Helen - his perseverance, humility, acceptance, encouragement, creativity, intelligence, hard work, service and joy. I visited her a few times in the Daeka care home. She'd lost so much but was so full of love and happiness. She spoke so well of her little community at the home She made a bit of heaven wherever she was. Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into your rest!

Dear Family Members,
Please accept my sincere condolences. Mrs. Boyd was a fixture of life in Hampton and I recall her fondly. She encouraged entrepreneurship and understood that community requires maintenance. She was a role model for kindness, decency, and engagement. I only visited that kitchen one time, but that was enough, I still remember it.

John Boyd and family. I had the pleasure of spending time with your mom with Dave and taking her out on drives and stopping for tea and she was so happy to get out and about and spending time together. She was a very sweet woman who I will never forget. She always had a hug for me and Dave when we were leaving. I will miss her and knowing she is reunited with love ones will bring her family peace. Take care.

Upon arriving as staff of Hampton Baptist Christian School it took no time at all to meet Helen and Bert. During our six years in Hampton we became goods friends with the Boyds. Helen was gracious and generous is so many ways. To say she was a hard worker is such an understatement. Hampton Press, Hampton Baptist Church, Hampton Bible Camp are but a few of the areas she was involved in and yet always had time to sit and chat. She and her husband certainly enriched our lives while in Hampton as they did with so many others. Sad to hear of her passing but confident she is with her Lord and at peace and rejoicing.

Dear John and Family
I was saddened to read of Helen's death in the paper this morning but glad to have known her in years past. I first met Helen when she and Bert ran the 'Hampton Herald' out of their basement on Lakeside Road - and that wasn't yesterday! I will always remember her very distinctive calming voice and demeanor. She obviously cared very deeply for her community as I am sure running a small local paper was a labor of love on most days.
Please accept condolences from both Joe and me.

To Helen's Family, My sincere sympathy in the loss of this special lady, now with her Lord and no more confusion. What an accomplished lady. My earliest memories is a week at camp as a counselor years ago - a special time.I loved receiving the Hampton Herald and being up to date on the latest events after moving back to Hampton. When at Ossekeag Place we enjoyed the singing we shared with Helen at the piano. She may not have remembered all our names but she knew the old hymns. What a blessing ! May you be blessed by memories you have and the assurance of her joy now. Sincerely, Shirley(Taber( Gamble
