Obituary of Judy MacFarland
It is with great sadness that the family of Judith "Judy" Lorraine MacFarland announces her sudden passing which occurred on September 13, 2020 at her home in Kingston, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on October 13, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Bertram and Shirley (Galbraith) Burns.
Judy spent the last 15 years working with those she called family at RNS and included many functions, events, ceremonies and by far her favorite the Gingerbread House Christmas party. She loved to show off her eight grandchildren. Prior to RNS she worked for twenty years at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Rothesay. Besides work, Judy loved to spend her summer days at the camp with the love her life, Gerald. Watching the eagles, having bonfires, playing dice, barbequing for anyone who stopped by, sleepovers with grandbabies, boating with her family and relaxing in a tube in the river; this was her little piece of heaven. Judy’s greatest gift to this world is her children and grandchildren. If you spent any time with her you've seen pictures and heard her brag about them.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Gerald MacFarland; children: Amanda McKenna (Patrick) of Erbs Cove, NB, Kayla Oulton (Riley) of Kingston, NB, Kendra Oulton (Chris) of Passekeag, NB and Jake Oulton (Rebecca) of Hatfield Point, NB; grandchildren: Ellie, Callie, Emmie, Ava, Emily, Kiera, Jade and Alex; brothers: Bill Burns (Julie) of Grand Manan, NB and Tom Burns (Leslie) of Quispamsis, NB; nieces & nephews: Heather, Kim and Mike; brothers-in-law: Leslie MacFarland of Kingston, NB, Brian MacFarland (Judy) of Kingston, NB and Fred MacFarland (Cindy) of Kingston, NB; nieces & nephews: April, Benita, Robbie, Rachel, Sabrina, Wayne and Heidi. In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her sisters-in-law: Kathy Burns, Susan Burns and Karen MacFarland.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to all the first responders for their care given towards Judy and her loved ones. Your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.
