Shirley was a joy. When she came out to the singing she always took part, and she always had a sassy comment about me or the way I was doing things. She almost always stayed around till the end and after all the others had left she would want to sing a duet of Four Strong Winds or something like that. The song did not seem to matter so much as having a person to sing with, and she made it clear that in a pinch I would do.

Bill, Gail, Jim & Family We were both deeply saddened that Shirley had passed away. We send our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I know its hard to lose someone you love so dearly. Shirley will be missed by all who knew her. She was a beautiful lady and a great sense of humour. We will all cherish the memories we have. Its hard to believe she is gone but she is out of her suffering and thats what makes it easier.

We had many chats and laughs together, and of course, us being Newfoundlanders made our bond even closer. You all have wonderful memories to cherish in your hearts forever.
