It is with sadness that the family of Louise Alice Smith, age 87, of Saint John, NB, announces her death which occurred on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Shannex, Parkland Saint John Campus, NB. She was born on June 26, 1929, in Belleisle, NB, a daughter of the late Hugh and Alice (Wood) Smith. Louise is survived by her niece Alice (Don) Starkey of Nauwigewauk, NB; good friend Rod Morrison (Pat) of Hampton; as well as several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Louise was predeceased by her sister Irene Galey; and brothers: Ron, Charles and Lloyd Smith. Louise was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A private family interment will be held at a later date in St. Luke’s Anglican Cemetery, Gondola Point.
