Obituary of John Leggett

John Michael Leggett of Saint John, NB occurred on Saturday December 14, 2024 at his home Yvonne Special Care Home in Titusville.

He was born July 20, 1940 in Pugwash, NS.  He was the Oldest Son of the late Mary Lyndall (Bosewell) and Father John Burton Leggett and Brother David Leggett of ON.

He worked for MacDonald Builders and Door Craft of Fredericton before moving on to his final work with Service Master in Saint John to be close to the dialysis unit at the SJRH for his partner Brenda.

John enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his kitties. The love of his life were his daughters, and he had a love for the outdoors.  He will be remembered for his smile, laughter and great love and generosity.

John is survived by his daughters Mellissa Leggett (Bob Brooker), Stephanie Leggett (John Judd), grand daughters Dena Leggett,  Larrisa and Kaylee Quinton; Zoe and Josey Judd and grand daughters Evangeline and Artemys Leggett. Special mention Step Son and friend Ricky (Charlene) Rice.

John will truly be missed.  Special thanks and gratitude to Slavia owner and operator of Yvonne’s Special Care home, the staff and Dr. Turner.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541) 1063 Main Street Hampton, NB, where they will be held privately at a later date. Interment will take place at Christ's Church Anglican Cemetery, Amherst, Nova Scotia. Donations in memory of John may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
