Obituary of Edward James McGuire

It is with great sadness that the family of Edward “Ted” James McGuire announce his passing which occurred on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Summerside, PE on March 22, 1945, he was the son of the late Francis and Jean (MacRae) McGuire.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary McGuire (Richard) of Hampton, NB; sons: Steven McGuire (Elizabeth-Jane) of Havertown, PA, and Mark McGuire (Jenny Zhai) of St. Albert, AB; grandchildren: Lucy Jean, Thomas Edward, Francis Alexander, Mary Kathleen, Simon James, Brielle Ying and Harvey Edward McGuire; and sister Elaine McGuire of Ontario.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB where they will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ted may be made to Hockey Fights Cancer or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
