Obituary of Barbara Anne Targett

It is with deep sadness that the family of Barbara Anne Targett, announce her passing, which occurred on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at her residence in Hampton, NB.  She was born in Gagetown, NB on June 18, 1947, a daughter of the late Levurn and Della (Allingham) Graham and wife of the late Frederick Targett.

Barb is survived by her daughters: Della Targett (Jamie) of Hampton, NB, Lana Targett (Darren) of Fall River, NS; son Graham Targett (Katy) of Quispamsis, NB; grandchildren: Hannah, Brody, Sam, Emily, and Abigail; sister Verna Arnold; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband Fred, Barb was also predeceased by her brother Ronnie Graham and sister Joyce Graham.

Barb spent her early years working several jobs until the birth of her first child after which she dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom. She loved being around people and spent most of time visiting her children, grandchildren, friends, and family. Some of her favourite pastimes were baking, especially with grandchildren, quilting, playing Rummoli, going to 50 Plus, and travelling. Barb's warmth, unmistakable laugh, and joy for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 1:00PM from Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel. To honour Barb we kindly request that you join us wearing bright-coloured clothes and glittering items. Please also bring a cherished story to share.
