Obituary of Betty Bustin
It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Ann Bustin, age 62, announces her passing which occurred on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. She was born in Saint John, NB, on April 22, 1962, a daughter of Clifford and the late Barbara (Chase) Tays.
Betty had a smile that would light up any room. She was known as the “life of the party” who would welcome anyone in with open arms. She was the first to say “I love you”, first to give you a hug and make you instantly feel like family. Family meant everything to her. She took after her Mama when it came to cooking and baking- it came from the heart. Her three children were her life. She created so many beautiful memories with them which they will cherish forever. Jim, Connie and Terry will always keep their beautiful sister close to their hearts while continuing to keep her memory alive during the days ahead. Her Dad, Clifford described his daughter as one of the apples of his eye.
Betty was always there when her Dad needed her and he was there when Betty needed him. Betty also loved her bed sharing, tv watching puppy dog Liquorice “Bubbers” who will miss her immensely. We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Emily Love and Dr. Robert Hanlon for the outstanding care of our Daughter, Mom and Sister as well to the Palliative care nurses at SJRH.
Betty is survived by her son Ryan Jeffries (Daniel) of Saint John, NB; daughters: Cassie Bustin-Sprague (Ryan) of Penobsquis, NB, Jillian Bustin of Penobsquis, NB; brother Jim Tays; sisters: Connie Roy, Terry (Bob) Lewis; grandchildren: Jack, Theo, Oaklyn; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Betty was predeceased by her mother Barbara Tays.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A Graveside Service will take place in Big Rock Cemetery, Bloomfield on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11:00AM.
