Obituary of Vera Louise Raeburn
It is with great sadness that the family of Vera Louise Raeburn announce her passing which occurred on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at her home in Hampton, NB. Born on May 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Sylvia (Patterson) Herrington.
Vera enjoyed gardening and was an active member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Hammond River. Her pride and joy in life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she always treasured the time she spent with them. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.
Thank you to the Extra Mural Team especially Tracy & Kelly, and to Dr’s Fenwick and Doc. Collings for the home visits. The family cannot express our thanks enough.
Vera is survived by her children: Pamela Olive (Curtis) of Leduc, AB, Sheryl Raeburn-Olsson (Greg) of Hampton, NB, Mike Raeburn (Patty) of Hampton, NB and Carl Raeburn (Barb) of Lower Norton, NB; grandchildren: Jeff (Rachel), Jocelyn (Shane), Melody (Dean), Patrick (Amanda), Penny, Karissa (Eugene), Andrew (Sam), Corey (Trish) and Tyler (Gillian); brother Ian Herrington (Ann); sisters Carol Gammer and Marilyn Ketchum; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Vera was predeceased by her loving husband Bruce Raeburn; brothers: Bob, Donnie, Kevin and Gerry Herrington; and sister Sharon Herrington.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, from 4 to 7PM. The funeral will take place at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hammond River, NB. Interment will be held at Oak Point Cemetery, Oak Point, NB.
