Darquise was a joy at the Dr Snow Centre and I missed her dearly when I left. We enjoyed tea and cookies together often. She was just a sweetheart! My deepest condolences to her family for your loss of this beautiful soul. She will truly be one of the brightest stars shining in the heavens.

My deepest condolences to all Darquise's family. You do not know me, but I had the joy of singing with Darquise many times, and she always had a joyful smile, but sometimes a tear when we sang a song that was precious to her, like "In the Garden". I looked forward to seeing her each time I went to sing. This poem will perhaps show you something of what we shared. Darquise She sits alone, her eyes are closed. They have been for a while. I touch her hand and speak her name, Eyes open, then a smile. I ask her if she’d like to sing, She gives a fervent nod. We sing a chorus that she knows Of walking with her God. She knows the tune and all the words, She’s known them both for years. She smiles as memories filter back, But sometimes there are tears. She always thanks me when we’re done, Like I’ve done some great deed. And in her words it seems to me There’s something I must heed. For though it seems not much at all To hold her hands and sing, Sometimes we need to understand Joy little things can bring. For Jesus spoke of little things, Two mites, a cup of water, When given as a gift of love To any son or daughter. So just remember, do the deed. Don’t hesitate and wait. Just fill your day with little deeds For that is truly great. George Jenkins 230814

My condolences to the family of sweet Darquise at this difficult time. She and my mother were roommates at Snow’s for over 5 years. Darquise was a kind, gentle and loving lady to all that entered their little ‘apartment’. She made me smile and was always a joy to see around the halls at Snow’s. Deanna Hallett and family
