Obituary of Katherine Joyce Beyea

It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine Joyce Beyea announce her passing which occurred after a prolonged period of declining health on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on March 20, 1980, she was the daughter of David Beyea and the late Jane Beyea (Bramen).

Katherine grew up in Nauwigewauk and graduated from Hampton High School where she played the trumpet in the school band. She was very active and involved with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets; playing the trumpet and making lifelong friends.

In addition to her father, Katherine is survived by her cherished children: David Holmes, Ryan Bennett and Emma MacDonald; brother Andrew Beyea; sisters Mary Hook (Brian) and Phoebe Smith; cousins Liza McGovern and Paul Beyea; as well as six nephews and two great nieces.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all those involved in providing the excellent and compassionate care to Katherine over the many years. Your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, where visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 4 to 7PM. Interment will take place in the spring at Acadian Loyalist Cemetery.
