Obituary of Douglas Anthony Smith

It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas “Doug” Anthony Smith announce his passing which occurred on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on August 3, 1975, he was the son of the W. Douglas and Sandra (Healey) Smith.

In addition to his parents, Doug is survived by his brother Timothy Johnston of Belleisle, NB; sister Heidi MacKay (Graham) of Warman, SK; nieces and nephews: Taylor Johnston, Connor Smith, Emily Smith, Quintin MacKay and Sawyer MacKay; as well as many extended family and friends. Doug was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Roy Smith; maternal grandparents Fred and Grace Healey; and paternal grandparents Roy and Mary Smith.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 1:00PM from Reid’s Funeral Home chapel.
