Obituary of Brenda McNamara

It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Joyce McNamara of Kingston, NB announce her passing which occurred on January 30th, 2024 in Saint John, NB.

Brenda was born in Saint John, NB to Donald & Eileen (Dwan) McNamara on Mother’s Day - May 12, 1957. She was a dedicated and valued administrative assistant within the health care system in Saint John for 30+ years, the last 20+ spent at the SJ Regional Hospital. As a breast cancer survivor, she enjoyed her time and the many friendships made while on the Breasts Ahoy dragon boat team. Brenda was a thoughtful and kind-hearted person who was loved by all who knew her. She cherished her time with her grandchildren who have fond memories of Grammie’s baking and her willingness to play any game they asked her to.

Brenda is survived by her spouse, Bruce Fox of Kingston, NB; children: Neil May (Amber Saulnier) of Garnett Settlement, NB and daughter Sarah McKibbon (Chuck) of Calgary, AB. sister, Donna McLean (John) of Moncton, NB; sister Paula Cameron (Wayne Dollar) of Hampton, NB; sister-in-law Pam Parsons (Ray) of Saint John; brother-in-law Dave Fox (Karen) of Saint John; Grandchildren: Lucas, Rhilynn, Caleigh & Ainsley; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Ambrose McNamara; mother, Eileen Margaret (Dwan) (McNamara) Muise; and brother, Ronald Joseph Gaudet.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A private celebration of life to be held at a later date.
