Obituary of Katherine Eileen Ellis

It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine “Kathy” Eileen Ellis announces her passing which occurred on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at her home in Lakeside, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on January 22, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Henry & Doris (Hansen) Olsen.

Kathy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed weekly TV bingo with her husband and catching up on the phone with family and friends. She was an animal lover whether it was her own cat, other pets or wildlife. Kathy was always there when you needed her, she had the kindest heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband Wendell Ellis of Lakeside, NB; children: Jeret Ellis of Rothesay, NB, Curtis Ellis (Vanessa Booker) of Damascus, NB and Ashley Whalen (Daniel) of St. Stephen, NB; grandchildren: Hailey, Shawntay, Nicki, Delilah, Carter, Nathan, Kyleigh and Taylor; great grandson Blake; brother Ronald Olsen of Cassidy Lake, NB; sister Tammy Olsen of Edmonton, AB; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Kathy is predeceased by her brother Harold Olson; and sister Judith Montague.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, and will be held privately.
