Obituary of David Lewis Scribner

It is with profound sadness that the family of David Lewis Scribner announce his passing which occurred on Monday, November 20, 2023, at the Kings Way Care Centre, Quispamsis, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, on July 12, 1942, he was the son of the late Lewis and Eleanor (Davis) Scribner.

David was employed for many years as a sheet metal worker at Fundy Ventilation.

David is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marlene Scribner (Crawford) of Quispamsis, NB; children: Kevin Scribner of Quispamsis, NB, Deborah Hobden (Brent) of Comox, BC and Melanie Burke (John) of Quispamsis, NB; grandchildren: Scott Scribner, Joshua Hobden, Sarah Hobden Laslo, Zachary Hobden and Emilee Irvine (Nick Melvin); great-grandson Levi Melvin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 27, 2023 from the Reid’s Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Donations in memory of David may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
