Obituary of Karen Thomas

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Karen Leona Thomas announce her death. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family on November 13, 2023, at the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre. Karen was born in Saint John, NB on October 31, 1944, a daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Byers) MacDonald.

Karen will be greatly missed by her husband Paul Thomas; sons Chris Thomas of Halifax, NS and Brent Thomas (Carolyn) of Hampton, NB; daughter Shelley Boswell of Oromocto, NB; sister Sandra Wilson of Saint John, NB; brother David MacDonald (Sandy) of Saint John, NB, along with many grandchildren great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her oldest son Dale Thomas, brother Curtis MacDonald, and brother-in-law Allan Wilson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reids Funeral Home (1063 Main Street, Hampton NB), where visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00PM.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00pm in the Reid’s Chapel. The interment will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery in the Spring.
