Obituary of Monte Morrison Jr

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Monte Stewart Morrison Jr, that occurred on Saturday, November 4^th, 2023, at the Sussex Health Center. Monte was born September 27, 1974, in Saint John, NB.

Monte is survived by his foster parents Doreen and Allan Hodgson, foster brothers and sisters Carl, Norman (Theresa), Laurie (Joe), Carolann, and Will (Pam).  The Hodgson family welcomed Monte into their home with love and acceptance and he became an integral part of their lives. Monte is also survived by his father Monte Stewart Morrison Sr (Robyn) and sisters and brother Tricia, Terry, and Tamara as well as many nieces and nephews both foster and biological.  Monte was predeceased by his mother Mary-Ann Dale Gilks.

Monte will be dearly missed by his foster family, biological family and his Crosswinds family who were fortunate enough to care for Monte for the past 7 years.  Monte taught those around him acceptance and unconditional love.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A Celebration of Monte’s Life will take place at Reid’s Funeral Home, Friday, Nov. 10^th, 2023 at 11:00am. The interment will take place at Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery, Barnesville, NB.
