Obituary of Dawn Elizabeth Caissie

It is with great sadness that the family of Dawn Elizabeth Caissie announce her passing, which occurred peacefully on October 26, 2023, at the Shannex Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on January 1, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruby (Northrup) Meagher.                     

Dawn is survived by her loving husband Raymond Caissie of Hampton, NB; children: John Cyr (Tanya) of Quispamsis, NB, Barb Cyr (John Ridgway) of Quispamsis, NB and Michael Caissie (Kristie LaBrecque) of New Maryland, NB; step children: Tony Caissie of Hampton, NB and Jackie Roy (Claude) of Saint John, NB; grandchildren: Jennifer Roy, Danielle Scott, Sarah Patton, Matthew Patton, Allison Cyr, Julia Cyr, Olivia Caissie, Lauren Caissie, Janine Roy, Justin Caissie, Bryce Caissie, Christopher Ridgway, Kyle Ridgway and Kelly Ridgway; brothers: John Meagher (Judy), Rick Meagher (Linda), Carl Meagher, Doug Meagher (Darlene) and Rob Meagher (Angie); sisters: Diane Adams (Barry), Darlene McCavour and Heather Cyr (Doug); as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Dawn was predeceased by her son Alexander Cyr; infant daughter Dawn Mary Cyr; and sister Deborah Boulter.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Shannex – Embassy Hall for all their care given towards Dawn and her family, your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 12:00 - 2:00PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00PM from Reid’s Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place at a later date at Hampton Rural Cemetery, Hampton, NB.
