Obituary of Shirley Dawn Tays

It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Dawn Tays announce her passing, which occurred on October 22, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on August 7, 1964, she was the daughter of John “Jack” and Carol (Tait) Tays.                                       

Dawn is survived by her companion and best friend, Stephen Muise; children: Barbara Bastian and Gerald Bastian (Angela); grandchildren: Samantha, Tiffany, Gracie, Eve and Cassie; siblings: Charlene Tays, Stephen Tays and Elaine Tays; nieces & nephews: Russell, Jennifer, Matthew, Pam, Trevor and Melissa; as well as many cousins and lots of friends. Dawn will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Dawn was predeceased by her brother Richard Tays, and grandson Richard James.

Dawn was a kind, generous and loving woman who was always willing to help anyone in need. She was an avid animal lover, and her fur babies and grand babies were her world.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, Oct 31, 2023 at 1:00PM at Christ’s Church Anglican Cemetery, Bloomfield, NB.
