Obituary of Hartley Wade

It is with great sadness that the family of Hartley David Wade announce his passing which occurred on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, on July 21, 1948, he was the son of the late Vernar and Doris (Miller) Wade.

Hartley is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jean (Taber) Wade; children: Heather Graham (Glenn) of Stratford, PE, Mark Wade (Angela) of St. Stephen, NB and Peter Wade (Maggie) of Nauwigewauk, NB; grandchildren: Vincent Wade, Samantha Wade, Madeline Graham, Jillian Graham, Jeffrey Graham, Meranda Wade; step grandchildren: Shawn Mason and Cody Mason; 3 great grandchildren: Clara, Harvey & Grayson; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Hartley was predeceased by his sister Verna Manning and granddaughter Jessica Christopher.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. Visitation will be held Monday, October 9, 2023, from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. The funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 10 at 11:00am at Embertide Church (14 Centennial Road, Hampton NB).
