Obituary of Gerald Mallory Thompson

It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald “Dynamite Man” Mallory Thompson announce his passing which occurred on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, on April 4, 1935, he was the son of the late Leonard and Jennie (Rodgers) Thompson.

Gerald is survived by his son Joe Thompson (Amy) of Saint John, NB; close friends Sterling and Teresa Totten of Barnesville, NB; sister Doreen Estey (Junior) of Bayswater, NB; grandson Parker Thompson; special friends: Roy Thompson, Dave McCracken, Dave McCormick, Carl Hodgson and Jimmy Flecknell; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his brothers: Ralph, Cecil and Howard Thompson; and baby brother George Thompson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. Interment will take place at 3PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Barnesville, NB. Donations in memory of Gerald may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
