It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ian Robert Baxter Chamberlain, announces his death which occurred on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at his home. He was born in Saint John, NB, on January 24, 1988 a son of Bob and Krista (Hart) Chamberlain.
Along with his parents, Ian will be sadly missed by his children Paityn and Landon Chamberlain, and their mother, Ashley (Hartlen) Chamberlain; brothers: Barry Chamberlain (Vanessa) of Norton, NB, Jackson Chamberlain (Morgan) of Norton, NB; grandparents: Bill Hart, Sandra Hart and Mary Chamberlain; aunts & uncles: Lynne (Gerry) Roy, Jamie (Jennifer) Hart, David (Diane) Chamberlain, Patty (Sean) Ryan and Murray (Lisette) Thompson; nephew Lucas and niece Emma; and Jenna Hazelton; as well as many cousins. Ian was predeceased by his grandfather Oswald Chamberlain, and his Aunt Terry Thompson.
Ian was someone who truly put his friends and family above everything else. Ian always wanted to provide the best that he could for his family and he was proud to put in a hard day’s work, while also getting a laugh from the boys. In his spare time, he enjoyed biking, hunting, fishing, BBQ’ing and all sports, but most of all hockey and the Boston Bruins. He loved nothing more than when everyone he cared about was together having a laugh and enjoying each other’s company. It was even better if he found an opportunity to slide in one of his sarcastic, opinionated remarks that he somehow always got away with sharing.
Ian was most happy when he was with his kids doing what they loved. He spent many days at the rink with Landon trying to convince him not to be a goalie. He and Paityn loved their time together at the barn, practicing, getting ready for, and competing in her horse shows. Ian was so proud of his two kids and loved nothing more than spending his time with them.
The family would like to say a personal Thank You to all the Doctors and Nurses who helped with Ian’s care. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.
He is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541) 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB with visitation on Monday, July 17 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
