So sorry to read of Faye's passing so soon after Hazen's. My childhood memories of Faye include the numerous photos of her dressed up for school proms, special occasions and, of course, her wedding - always beautiful. As an adult I purchased many of her crafts including a Christmas tree skirt that I still love and continue to use 30+ years later.
My heart goes out to you Scott, Eddie, Beatrice and Bernetta. May you feel God's love in every kind word and gesture. Please know that others grieve with you.

Sending condolences to Scott and all the family on the passing of Faye. As a former student in her Home Economics Class at Hampton High School, I hold many fond memories of the sewing and cooking classes. Faye held a Spring Fashion Show whereas we students would each walk out on the stage to model the lovely cotton dresses we worked on during the winter months.We always picked our own pattern, fabric, color etc. according to individual tastes. My deepest condolences to the family I still remember Faye as my home economics teacher who I still think of whenever I start a sewing or cooking project she taught me a lot of life skills. I know she will be greatly missed by all, as a sweet soft spoken lady

RIP Aunt Faye
Many former students will remember “Mrs Barton” as the Home Economics teacher at Hampton Junior High school, she taught countless young woman how to cook and sew and eventually young men (which she claimed were better students than the girls) most of us will remember the wrinkled skirt we kept balled up in our locker, as we HAD to wear a skirt or dress to Home ec class lol, exactly one month after her husband passed away, she slipped away peacefully with her son by her side. Our thoughts are with her son, Scott, her brother Ed Hansen (my dad), her sister-in-law Bernetta and her sister, Rosanne Mullett countless nieces and nephews. Life is short !

I am one of the many Hampton Junior High kids that was taught Home Ec by Mrs Barton in the 80s. She also catered my wedding. Our family, friends, and guests had nothing but praise for the food she served. My condolences to her family and loved ones. May she be at peace.

I am sad to hear of Mrs. Barton's passing. She taught the Home Ec to a lot of boys whose fathers thought they had no business learning such things, myself included. These skills have come in handy and have helped me to be a more well-rounded person.
