Obituary of Timothy Robert Floyd

It is with great sadness that the family of Timothy Robert Floyd announce his passing which occurred on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, on November 23, 1962, he was the son of the late Cecil and Barbara (Corner) Floyd.

Tim enjoyed nature and the woods surrounding his rural home. He loved spending time with his dogs, and tending to the other animals under his care on his farm. Tim was most in his element when he had had a project to work on, a building to build, or a machine to fix and operate. He had a special fondness in his heart for Scotland, where he visited and toured on several occasions. Tim truly valued serving his community  and being a  good and  helpful neighbour. Whether volunteering his time to build facilities at the local elementary school, coaching kids sports teams, or opening his home and farm to anyone and everyone, Tim delighted in doing things for others. Most of all, Tim cherished his family and spending time with them on family trips, holiday seasons, or simply any day they could be at home together.

Tim is survived by his loving wife Tanya Floyd (Cook) of Titusville, NB; children: Thomas Floyd (Hannah) of Titusville, NB, Todd Floyd (Kristy) of Titusville, NB and Trevor Floyd (Pam) of Barnesville, NB; brothers: Gary Floyd (Valerie) of Bloomfield, NB and Jimmy Floyd (Lynn) of Salt Springs, NB; sister Jean Moore (Gary) of Baxters Corner, NB; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11:00AM from Barnesville Seventh Day Adventist Church, Barnesville, NB. Interment will follow in the Barnesville Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery.
