Ruth and family I am so sorry to hear of Deb's passing. He was the same age as I am now, 93 and knew your Wedding Anniversary was coming up this coming week and I was looking forward to seeing it on TV. I certainly have so many Memories of those days 72 years ago - Del was Francis ( Jr) closest friend growing up and you were my friend and co-worker at Thornes and we introduced you two and took you for a ride in Fran's father car before we were married, and the rest is History !! I think we stood up with you at your wedding in that little Church in West Saint John. I have thought of you often but haven't seen you since the last time when visiting you at your Cottage on the Bellisle. Francis has been gone 25 years. I still live alone in my little house here on Campobello with a little help- Peter our oldest passed away suddenly in November, age 66, it is so hard but we have to go on. I pray you will get the strength needed and support from you family..Love with lots of Memories

There was never a dull moment at the Belleisle cottage-we were always so spoiled! It was so apparent Delbert was proud of his family and treated even the friends of family with great interest and kindness. I always felt so welcome.

Sandi and I were deeply saddened to read about Del’s passing. We are in the UK for the next couple of weeks or would have joined you in person Ruth. We always enjoyed our chats at the Norton Shore Hall and. once I decided to play cribbage - Del ‘smoked” me! Cindy, Peter and Stephen were part of our early teaching career and both Sandi and I remember you fondly. Also my memories of the Ford Motor Christmas Parties were so important to us as they were to the Foster Boys, Paul McAfee, Andrew Kinnear and so many more. I wanted to share this with Terry but sadly, he too has left us. Bill and I will have a good discussion of these years since he has promised to take us to dinner on our return. Family is everything.
