Shona and I are so sorry to hear of Jamesies passing. So many great memories of the old days. Ripping around Hampton in his black camero. It was like riding with the unofficial mayor of Hampton. He knew everyone, and everyone knew him. When I would run into him when he was out on his scooter we would tell stories and laugh. I never got the sense he felt sorry for his situation. He would just smile and joke like he always did. Rest in peace old friend, its the end of a great era.

My condolences to Jamesie's family and friends.
I worked with Jamesie for a few years back in the late '80's/early '90's. He sure was a character, always laughing with a devil may care look in his eyes, had a lot of fun working with him.
I hadn't seen him for quite a few years then one day about 4 or 5 years ago a bike came into my shop, I didn't know the bike and couldn't recognize the rider with his helmet on.....and then he laughed, I instantly knew who it was. We talked for a couple of hours, made my day.

Jamesie and I have been friends for 35 yrs. He always had a smile and always wanted to have a chat. One year about 34 yrs ago my car froze up on the way to Sussex and he came to my rescue. A real nice guy that will be missed as he was a fixture in Hampton.

My condolences to “Jamesies” family. He was a great guy , we had a lot of bike trips over the years. If we weren’t riding 80 km an hr he’d be sure to pass us all with the 125cc Honda. I’m going to send a photo of us together on a bike trip a few years ago ,we stayed in the Mirimichi. Hope you enjoy seeing it. He loved biking!

Jamesie English and my baby brother Skip Dearborn were the cutest little boys in Hampton when they started grade one together at good old Hampton Consolidated School in the early 1960s. Is it my imagination or were their two front teeth missing for a long, long time. Oh well, it just made them cuter then, but they are both gone far too soon now. Please accept my condolences, Lloyd. I am deeply saddened on the passing of Jamesie. I will miss seeing Jamesie out & about in his wheelchair going to Station 33 Cafe, Pharmasave, etc & meeting up with David. Your big smile & twinkle in your eyes, which you get from your mom, will be missed by so many people. I bought my first motorcycle from Jamesie - a 2 stroke 185 (I think) Yamahahaha street/dirt bike. Lots of memories of Jamesie. You were only a week older than me. Gone to soon.
