Obituary of Carole VanWart
It is with deep sadness that the family of Carole Sharon Jean VanWart, loving wife of Roy VanWart, announce her passing, which occurred on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Liverpool, NS on February 7, 1945, she was a daughter of the late John and Muriel (Griffith) Rogers.
Carole is survived by her faithful and loving husband Roy of 42 years; daughters: Virginia (Wade) VanWart of Kars, NB, Carolyn LaPointe (Evan Munn) of Sussex, NB; stepdaughter Janet Baglole of Summerside, PE; stepson Kelvin (Kim) VanWart of Ponoka, AB; twenty two grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carole was also predeceased by her grandson Paul Baglole; stepson Bruce Leslie; eight brothers and four sisters.
Carole loved to love on people with her gentle disposition and flair for hospitality. She was always seen with a smile on her face. Throughout the years, the farm homestead in Kars was rarely seen without visitors, whom Carole always made to feel like family.
She was known for her delicious meals, canning, quilting and knitting. Her lovely jewelry collection was enjoyed and worn by many a grandchildren. When close ones left, Carole was always heard saying, “You’re never far away because you’re always in my heart!”
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB and will be held privately. A celebration of Carole’s life will be held in the spring of 2023.
