Obituary of Vivian Dawn Landry

It is with great sadness that the family of Vivian Dawn Landry announce her passing which occurred on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at her home in Hampton, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on September 29, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (English) Kyle.

Vivian is survived by her children: Carolyn Laskey (Jason Robertson) of Kars, NB, Tom Laskey (Teesha) of Youngs Cove, NB and Marilyn Knight (Kevin) of Hampton, NB; bonus-daughter Marcia Landry (Tom MacFarlane) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; bonus-son Trevor Landry (Cristy) of Hammond River, NB; grandchildren: Carley, Mike and Jake Hamm, Kaitlin and Sean Keleher, Kial and Clara Laskey, Jessica Laskey, Drew, Riley and Jade Creaghan, Maggie, Valerie and Julia Landry; great grandchildren: Axel, Avery, Caiden, Caroline and coming in May, Boe; sister Kathy Wilcox (Anthony Del Vasto) of Jemseg, NB; Kathy’s five daughters; sisters-in-law: Jean George (Bill), Margo Landry and Phyllis Landry; brother-in-law Garry Deeley; special aunts Vivian Murray, and Corine McCutcheon; sister-cousins: Dianne Murray-Brown, Carol-Ann Acheson and Elaine Belding; as well as many other cousins, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her loving husband Jim Landry.

Any chance that Vivian got to go; she enjoyed fishing at her special island with Carol-Ann. She loved working in her flower beds and would enjoy the time she spent outdoors. Above all, Vivian loved her family time with her children and grandchildren and always looked forward to their family get togethers. She also enjoyed weekend shopping adventures with her Aunt Vivian, Diane, Elaine and Carol-Ann.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Douglas Hall, Erica at Extra Mural as well as all the other staff that helped take care of Vivian. Your kindness and compassion shown towards her and her family will not be forgotten.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB and will be held privately. Donations in memory of Vivian may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
