Allan Thomas was one of the most enthusiastic members of Clan MacRae Society of Canada. He was also an open-hearted, generous benefactor.
The genealogy information provided by Allan and several of his DNA cousins is the source material for the article I am writing for the Spring issue of Kintail, the Clan MacRae Society's newsletter. Allan's first Canadian -born ancestors on the McRae branch of his family tree were the children of Duncan McRae and his wife Margaret Agnes McIntosh, pioneer settlers of Hope Town, Bonaventure, Quebec.
I wish he had lived long enough to include his own comments about the soon-be-be published article. It will honour Allan's kind, generous spirit and his contagious enthusiasm for all things related to Scotland's Highlands.
Alan was such an amazing soul. His love for life was infectious and his determination to live was inspiring. I’m so fortunate to have met him . God bless and fly high with the angels ❤️
