I am late to post this and so sad to hear of Sterling’s passing. I always loved to see his smiling face and him asking me how my day was going and if it wasn’t a good day it was my own fault. RIP Sterling - I will never forget you and our one date on your 93rd birthday to see Natalie MacMaster and how your eyes lit up when her children came out to dance. I know you will be happy to be reunited with your one true love Evelyn.

I am so sorryI missed Sterling’Visitation I thought it was October 2 nd I loved Sterling so much we had so many good Laugh’s When He moved into the Dr Snow Appartments He moved into the one my Mum had been in for quite a few years R.I.P. Sharon, Roger, and Charles O'Brien, family of Jessie O'Brien(Mercer), sincere condolences for the loss of Uncle Sterling. He was a very special man, who always had amazing stories to tell. The last time we were in New Brunswick we noticed a sign for breakfast at this Legion in Hampton so we dropped in and who was at the door but Uncle Sterling. He was very dear to my Mom and are thoughts are with him and his family today.

Dear Joyce, Richard, Marion and your families, Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your remarkable father whose spirit is larger than life. I'll always remember his heartwarming smile during our family get-togethers. Although I moved away from Hampton quite a few years ago, I often recall uplifting news from Mom and family about his enthusiastic service and eager outreach to his community and country! He was, and remains, a truly inspired and inspiring man who shed a bright light on our path of life! Just knowing he was so active and engaged with life, even in advanced years, gave us so much encouragement in facing life bravely and optimistically. He set an example for all of us and will be greatly missed! You must be incredibly proud of him! May God rest his soul in eternal joy now and console you all during this difficult time. It was with great sadness that we heard of the passing of our Uncle Sterling.We will certainly miss your smiling face, great stories and kind and gentle words. When we were younger we loved coming to your house to play croquet, swing from that amazing rope in the huge tree in the front yard, slide down the bannister, and devour Evelyn's award winning pies and delicious desserts. I was so sad to read of Sterlings passing. We were lucky enough to celebrate a few of his birthdays with him at All Seasons and always got him a cake. He had the best laugh and we all have missed him since his move to Ridgewood. My condolences to his family, he sure was a great guy, they don't make them like Sterling anymore! I am so sorry to learn of Sterlings passing. I will always remember how caring and helpful he was to me when his baby brother / my husband, Eddie, died so suddenly. Sterling found out about that accident while on Poppy duty at the Save Easy. I often think what a terrible shock that must have been for him, to lose his brother that way. There was 20 years difference in their ages, but they were so much alike. Many great memories for us who loved you. Rest easy now! Thank you for your service to our country!
