Rita,
As I read through the memories being shared here today I remembered the big storm when all of Hampton was shut down. I think it was Christmas 1970 and we were supposed to come to your house for dinner. The streets were blocked and few cars were moving. Roy and Colin decided if Colin could make it to the bottom of your hill in Hampton that Roy would come and get us by snowmobile. Neil would have been about 3 months old. I bundled him up in his blankets and snow suit and tucked him in between me and Roy and up the hill we went into your loving arms. Then Roy went down and picked up Colin. We had a lovely dinner with you! It is my pleasure to sing at Roy's funeral for you. He always loved to hear me sing.
Love you so much
Carol,

Dear Rita, my heart is aching for you, losing Roy the love of your life. So many memories of all the times we were all together as a family, what fun we had, camping, hunting, parties, visits with each other, Roy loved to talk hunting with Steve, in fact we just saw him in the car at Walmart, in the spring, we so enjoyed talking and catching up, he was happy and checking his tickets. We were remembering how Roy brought his pulp loader to our new house build to put the trusses up, always helping. I always remember a time when my big brother wasn’t very happy with me when at the campground, he just got the campfire going well, too well, I thought, so I dumped a bucket on it, Roy let me know he didn’t appreciate it,we all laugh over that memory. Rest well my brother, I’ll see you on the other side,

Dear Rita, Suzanne, Andy ,Tim , Faith,Carol, Lorraine and families; My condolences on Roy's passing. Roy was a very caring man, who would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it more than he did. Rita, you and Roy were the reason Fred and I built our home in Passekeag as you suggested we buy land from your Dad. You and Roy were always there when we needed you. I remember the ground hog gale of 76, when you took us into your home because the power went out and we had no heat. Roy took the kids to the basement to play, thus keeping them out of mischief. There was also the time when Roy got out of bed at 1 am, to come see if the kids and I were ok . Fred was at work and Fury would not stop barking because a car was stopped in front of our house. Now that God has welcomed Roy with open arms, he will be your guardian Angel . Think of the good times you shared as they will get you through the days ahead. RIP Roy! God Bless! Love Ann

Aunt Rita,
Kari and I are sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Roy. I have quite a few memories of visiting your home as a young child. Playing in the basement and uncle Roy telling us that if we didn’t settle down he would hang us on a hook till it was time to go! ( always an idle threat but it did make us little buggers cool it! Lol) We never left without being well fed and feeling loved by you both.
Life took us to the other side of Canada and I have not been back to the east coast very much but have thought of you and Roy often. Love Neil and Kari

Forever loved and will be missed. You were my big brother, protector and friend as we grew up. You and Eddie were work mates at the pulp mill and close friends, now you are together again. Until we all meet again. Your sister Sue, but as you called me Sam, because you wanted a brother when you got a sister.
