Obituary of Anna Gordon Brimson
It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Gordon Brimson announce her passing which occurred peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, surrounding by her loving family at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, New Brunswick. Born in Summerside, PE, on October 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Edna (Miller) Harris.
Anna is survived by her daughters: Lesley Monahan (Danny) of Hampton, NB and Barb Gillis (Joe) of Long River, PE; grandchildren: Jessica Sanford (Cory) of Bloomfield, NB, Michael Gillis (Danielle) of Calgary, AB and Craig Monahan (Sue Colwell) of Saint John, NB; great grandchildren: Nathan, Alexis, Ben and Max; sister-in-law Eleanor Harris of Summerside, PE; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her husband Michael Brimson; brothers: Donald and Jimmy Harris; brother-in-law Rex Brimson; and sisters-in-law: Barbara and Marg Harris.
Anna lived alone in Sherwood Park up into her nineties with great quality of life. This was only possible because of the kindness and compassion of her friends and neighbours that surrounded her. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who cared for Anna. The love you have shown will not be forgotten.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 11:00AM from the Kennebecasis Baptist Church, 383 Hampton Road, Quispamsis, NB. A family interment will take place at a later date in PEI.
