Obituary of Margaret Teresa Sherwood

The family of Margaret Teresa (McBride) Sherwood are saddened to announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, May 9, 2022. Born April 10, 1930 in Hanford Brook, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa (McDermott) McBride. She the last remaining member of her family.

Margaret will be deeply missed by her daughter Diane Todd (Chuck); son Rod Sherwood; grandchildren: Lisa Todd (Jacob Sweezey), Jeff Todd (Kristin Burns) and Sarah Sherwood (Nial McCracken); great-grandchildren: Ben and Anna Todd-Sweezey; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her son Kevin Sherwood; husband Fred Sherwood; sister Mary O’Brien; and brothers: Ned, Bill and Tom McBride.

The family would like to thank the staff of Daeka Special Care Home, Hampton and the Palliative Care Unit staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5540) 1063 Main St., Hampton, NB. A private service and burial will be held at a later date.
