Obituary of Evelyn Patricia Harrison-Brown

It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn Patricia Harrison-Brown announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home, Saint John. Evelyn was born Saint John, NB, on August 25, 1936, a daughter of the late Robert and Pearl (Ellis) Totten.

Evelyn was the youngest of 9 children. She was a homemaker and took great pride in her home. She loved to bake and could make a mean pie. She loved to crochet and decorate her home. She was very meticulous when it came to house keeping and her looks. As a young girl she loved her fashion and heels. She had many talents such as singing and playing the organ. Her wicked sense of humour stayed with her until the end. She loved her family, and they were the most important thing to her. She was member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and her belief in God was unwavering. She will be deeply missed by her family and those who loved her. 

Evelyn is survived by her daughters: Dianne Nash of Calgary, AB, Sherry Harrison (Dave Lawson) of Saint John, NB; grandchildren: Carla Nash (Nicholas Brown), Alicia Nash (Pat Chan); great grandson Nash; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Bernard Harrison; second husband Gordon Brown; son-in-law Bill Nash; grandson Nicholas Harrison; sisters: Frances Smith, Muriel O’Dell, Marie Floyd, Violet Peterson, Hazel Cummings, Eunice Floyd; brothers: Charles Totten and Elmer Totten.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB and will be held privately at this time, however there will be a graveside service at the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery, Barnesville in the Spring.
