Obituary of Kenneth David Leigh Miller
It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth David Leigh Miller announce his passing which occurred on Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Whitehead, NB, on September 25, 1939, he was a son of the late Leigh & Helen (Ganong) Miller.
Ken loved his family and friends and enjoyed every moment spent with them sharing stories and creating memories. He took every opportunity to teach his children and grandsons everything he knew.
Ken was passionate about his work, driving and maintaining trucks and heavy equipment for over 60 years. He never forgot the name of anyone he worked with over the years. For the most part Ken was self employed spending his winters working in the woods and driving truck in the summer. Ken spent a few years employed as a truck driver for Classic Construction before “semi-retiring”.
Ken is survived by his children: Donna Finlay (Greg) of Erbs Cove, NB, and Norman Miller (Joan) of Clifton Royal, NB, grandchildren: Jacob (Lauren), Mackenzie (Kiersten), Riley (Jayden), Joshua, Luke (Olivia) and Braeden, sister: Betty Donovan (Doug) of Quispamsis, NB, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and very special little girl, Kiera. In addition to his parents, Ken is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Anita, brother, Douglas Miller and sister, Frances Gamble.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. All arrangements will be held privately.
